Founded as a full service commercial photography studio in 1985 serving the regional advertising agency and corporate communications market, our Kirtland, Ohio-based firm handled assignments as diverse as industrial, aerial, product and construction.

Today, Shooting Star is a premier image-making studio specializing in high end architectural photography. This evolution took place due to our interest in architecture and construction along with a changing client base.

Our work is used extensively in trade show displays, advertising, corporate art, trade publications, web sites and editorial by clients including architects, contractors, engineers, construction management firms, developers, real estate agencies and vendors.

Years of commercial photography assignments have led to our highly proficient lighting techniques as well as excellent graphic composition. And our extensive experience in the traditional photographic darkroom has developed our keen sense of digital file preparation and retouching.

Although we shoot original high resolution digital images, our forte is in traditional large format film photography preferred by discriminating clients. Many of these images are reproduced as large as 100 inches at 300 dpi, giving these clients razor sharp prints at virtually any size required.

Owned and operated by Todd and Victoria Williams, Shooting Star's studio is based in a converted 1912 farmhouse. While Todd handles the photography assignments, Victoria does all computer work including high resolution scanning of 4x5-inch film, digital file preparation and retouching.

While remaining based in the Northeast, we travel extensively throughout the United States to photograph interiors and exterior of movie theaters, hospitals, schools, homes, libraries, retail space, restaurants, hotels, office buildings, churches, bridges, auditoriums, government buildings and more.

Because we travel extensively, we are often able to link assignments from different clients, thereby saving on the cost of travel, and ensuring the highest quality photography for every client at each job location.
